📚 "Honored to have made it to the final of “AFT-Meesterwerken” published by Wolters Kluwer. In the context of my Master in Law degree at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, I wrote a thesis on the subject of “Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)”. This dissertation analysed the recently introduced EU measure’s design, functioning and WTO compliance. On the advice of my supervisor, Dr. Jean-Philippe Van West, I submitted the end result to the AFT-Meesterwerken thesis competition. The “Algemeen Fiscaal Tijdschrift (AFT)” is a renowned Belgian journal that explores the most important topics in tax regulation, legal doctrine and case law. It offers thorough and practice-oriented analyses of current topics, written by specialists in the field. It’s rewarding to receive legal-academic recognition (and a pleasant price) for the work and research I conducted. A special recognition goes towards Dr. Jean-Philippe Van West who supervised the thesis and Wolters Kluwer for granting me the recognition. Congratulations to the winner and other finalists."
