Cédric Van Assche
Biografie
Professor Van Assche is an invited Professor of Public International Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Legal Advisor in the Federal Parliament of the Kingdom of Belgium, House of Representatives and Associate Research Fellow at the Centre de droit international of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He also acted as a legal expert for different States and international organisations in various fields and has vast experience as a practitioner in numerous expert missions at the international level involving inter alia following tasks: a) drafting of legal opinions for Ministry for Foreign Affairs, diplomatic missions and representations, secretariats of international organisations, etc.; b) negotiating and drafting of various legal or political instruments (treaties, declarations, MOUs, etc.); c) participating as independent expert in various expert meetings at international level; and d) continuous training and evaluation of Belgian federal civil servants of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in public international law.
