Research 

Jean-Paul's research focuses on the Analysis of the effectiveness of sustainable development obligation in Bilateral Investment treaties. Jean-Paul is also a researcher at the Centre d'Etude en Gestion Minière (CEGEMI, cegemi.com), Centre d'Etude en Gestion des Conflits (CEGEC) and Centre Régional de Droit de l'Homme et de Droit International Humanitaire (CERDHO, cerdho.ucbukavu.ac.cd). He is also a lawyer with expertise in international investment law, international humanitarian law and human rights law. Expertise in judicial monitoring, natural resource governance and conflict management. Exceptional professional skills in evaluating projects on governance and human security in the Kivus.
